What I see is, a lot of people want passive income--which isn't really passive unless you're investing in stocks. They want internet-based, online work that they can do from their laptops. They don't want to do anything that requires them to get their hands dirty. Dirty jobs, too, are rough on your body. So is professional sports, but they at least pay you extremely well for having damaged joints and bones for the rest of your life.

I was the sort of kid who was completely not designed to succeed in shop class. But when I learned after leaving college that I could have gotten a paid electrician internship and been earning income while my peers were paying out the nose for college--I was pissed because I had never even been aware of the opportunity in my youth.
