The easiest way I know of to gain 100 followers is to write one article. You have to write one article, anyway, to gain entry into the Partner Program, so you might as well do that at the start. However, I have seen some members with over 100 followers who don't even do that.

Then you spend the next few days to a week just reading other people's stories, commenting on them, applauding if you like them, and letting people know you are new.

This has two advantages. 1. You don't have to write a lot of articles to gain followers. 2. Even better, by reading other people's articles, you get a sense for what is published here and what is well received.

By researching your 'market,' you get a feel for what people like to read here, which will help your earnings once you are able to join the MPP.
