Which niche?

Dear Readers,

I’ve been on Medium for over a year now and have written about a variety of topics that I’m interested in. These topics include my life in general, stock investing, writing and editing, near-death experiences, books, vision loss, and spirituality.

I haven’t tried to narrow my focus to any specific niche before now because I’m not a professional financial adviser, teacher, or disabilities specialist. I don’t have a degree or certification in marketing, computer programming, or anything like that. I work as administrative support in vocational rehabilitation. I’m working to complete a BS degree in healthcare administration.

I often simply write an article on whim or because an interesting thing happened in my life that I want to share with you.

My content creation so far has been limited to the written word. I feel the need to expand my skill set. I want to start a YouTube channel. This can’t happen right away, because I need to learn how to make YouTube videos — but it’s a goal I’m aiming toward. I also want to eventually start a Substack newsletter.

I’m going to commit to writing one Medium article a week, because if I don’t even do that, how can I possibly succeed on YouTube or Substack? I need to make my production consistent.

Therefore, I’d like to gauge interest in several possible topics I can focus my attention on, since my content has been varied.
