Today was Palm Sunday, during which the clergy of my church gave a dramatic reading of Matthew 27:11–54, the Passion of Christ.
I sat at the back of the church, so the dramatic parts sounded to me as if they were just text being read— until our deacon recited Jesus’ last words, in Aramaic, no less…
