I'm angered at the leadership of your congregation for making you feel that you had no control over your own body and no permissible options against an unwanted pregnancy, to the point that you became this hostile and this defensive against it.

I'm sitting here, thinking, Preventing pregnancy is very doable; Katherine Howard did it with Tudor-era medical technology. It's horrible to me that someone made you feel that afraid. For them to have done it in the name of God is inexcusable. I am so glad you were able to have the surgery at last.

Also, as a former medical transcriptionist, high-fives to you for knowing the term bilateral salpingectomy!
