I too have been wondering what will happen in November--if the Red Wave will be as strong as some would have us believe. The people who are hyped up about abortion and Roe v. Wade are very hyped up about it and are willing to make their views known with their votes in November. They also fear-monger by asserting that states will persecute women seeking abortions in other states when, in fact, no state has plans to do that.
On the other hand, polling data shows that, for most people, abortion and abortion rights are not their highest priorities. They are more concerned with being able to afford food, rent, and gasoline.
I hope that most states will opt for a reasonable abortion policy--up to 15 weeks gestation, with allowances for rape, incest, or endangerment of the mother's life. If Republican and Democrat state legislatures are smart, that is what they will agree to. But few politicians are ever smart, alas. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
