I sometimes worry that Eastern Star takes up a lot of my time, when I leave the house to attend meetings once a month and also attend other chapter meetings in a pro-tempore capacity. It can be a lot of absence at certain times of the year. Fortunately, we don't have children.

The thing is, my husband does almost nothing that gets him out of the house. We go out for D&D gaming with friends once a week, but his hobby is writing, so he mainly stays at home and does that.

I like to write, too, but I don't like to be cooped up in the house all the time. I don't drive, so Uber has been liberating for me, and I have embraced the liberation. I sometimes wish my husband would, too, so he would have more of a social life. His social life is mainly online, which just isn't the same, in my opinion.
