I have a friend whose mother is one of the most horrible people I've ever heard of. As far as I can tell, the only good thing she's done with her life is to bring my friend into the world. I am so grateful that my friend took after his father and not his mother. It's like with parents who physically or sexually abuse you; you have to cut ties because they literally will never learn.
