How to Let Go and Let God
God cannot take away what you freely give.
If you’ve read my articles for a while, you know that I’ve begun an intense study of near-death experiences (NDEs) that I’ve found on YouTube. I said on my Facebook page that I watch these videos not because I fear death but because I want to learn about God.
One of the videos I watched this week was especially heartrending and beautiful. It was the story of Jeff Olsen and the NDEs he experienced following a car wreck in which his wife and toddler son were killed.
Olsen discusses things during his video that pertain to his individual purpose in this life, which are profound and earth-shattering to read. They give me hope and reassurance regarding things I have experienced in my life so far.
My reason for writing this article has to do with Olsen’s grief at the death of his younger son. Olsen’s son Griffin was 14 months old when he died, and the last time Olsen saw him alive was in the rear-view mirror as Griffin slept in his car seat. During the crash, Griffin was thrown from the car and died instantly.
I have noticed that people who have one NDE often seem to have a greater propensity for having similar spiritual experiences without needing to be near death. Olsen had a couple of such experiences…
