Generation Jones? What a boring, empty name for my generation. Here's what people my age are all about.

We are the Schoolhouse Rock generation.

We are the Moon Landing generation. Watergate? Pfft.

We were children when childhood was cool. We had the Jetsons, the Flintstones, Scooby-Doo, the Superfriends. We loved Bewitched, Leave It to Beaver, I Love Lucy, and the Dick Van Dyke show--which we saw as reruns five days a week. We are the generation of Star Trek and M*A*S*H.

My generation, at least, as I remember it, was not obsessed with politics. We had more fun things to do, like hang out with friends and cruise the mall. We had greater things to aspire to. The popular media of my generation inspired greatnessin the people who were born in it. Jeff Bezos was born in Group 2, for example.

My generation could recite the preamble to the Constitution perfectly because we learned it on Saturday mornings. :)
