No citizens of Trillius Prime were harmed in the making of these burgers.

I just discovered Trill Burgers, a hamburger restaurant in Houston, Texas, located on the east side of S. Shepherd, close to Rockin’ Robin Guitars. It is run by Bun B. (Bernard Freeman), a Houston rap musician and now burger entrepreneur, and his two co-founders, Andy Nguyen and Nick Scurfield. The burgers are marvelous!

The restaurant opened on S. Shepherd in June of 2023, but the three had operated pop-up versions of it at local culinary events, as well as the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo in 2023. They served 41,000 burgers in 20 days at the rodeo that year. For this feat, they won a Gold Buckle Foodie Award for Best Classic Fair Food. In 2022 their food was declared “Best Burger in America” when it was featured on Good Morning America.

I found this restaurant while looking up “Trill food” for a post I was writing for a Star Trek writing club I belong to. I expected to be taken to the Memory Alpha website, but no! I got a Google results page, the first listing of which was for Trill Burgers. Naturally, I was intrigued. When I visited their website and discovered the place was located in Houston, I knew I wanted to check it out. I am so glad I did!

A simple menu.
