Ayo--Thank you for this. I think a big part of my problem getting reads might be my headlines. I majored in journalism, so I was taught to write matter-of-fact, simple headlines.

To me, so many of the headlines I see on Medium are more wordy than I would ever use. They just aren't my style. But, as the saying goes, if you keep doing the same thing, you'll keep getting the same results. So I'll have to figure out how to change.
