As a Christian, I find Dermidy's statement objectionable because, firstly, God sends no one to Hell. There is no Hell, save what we each impose on ourselves.

Secondly, it isn't Dermidy's place to decide for other people what their afterlife will be like.

Third, it was simply a jerk thing to say.
