A Theory of Everything — Is Quantum Physics Ignoring Some of the Data?

What are near-death experiences?
I recently became interested in near-death experiences (NDEs). I’ve read books by Dr. Bruce Greyson, Dr. Eben Alexander, and Dr. Penny Sartori, Ph.D, among others.
Greyson and Alexander are medical doctors. Sartori is a nurse who wrote her dissertation about cardiac patients she interviewed who had experienced NDEs.
An NDE is an experience people have who are clinically dead but can be resuscitated. During an NDE the person might experience floating above his or her own body or observe doctors’ attempts to resuscitate him or her.
The person can perceive events taking place outside of the immediate area while out of body, events s/he should be completely unaware of.
If the experience continues, the person usually experiences traveling through a tunnel toward a source of overwhelming light and love. The person often undergoes a review of his or her own life and is reunited with deceased loved ones and friends before being told s/he must return to life.
Dr. Greyson became a believer when a patient described to him a spaghetti sauce stain on his tie that she couldn’t have seen. Dr. Alexander, a neurosurgeon, became a believer when he himself underwent an extensive NDE while in a coma from bacterial meningitis.
Greyson and Sartori conclude that the brain does not create consciousness; it mediates consciousness — meaning that consciousness can exist outside of a brain. It can then move into a brain, which enables it to interact with the physical world. In their view the brain limits consciousness so that a person can function as a living being in a world whose time is linear rather than simultaneous.
This was all intensely fascinating to me, not just on a spiritual level, but on a scientific level, too. I reasoned that we cannot possibly develop an accurate cosmological Theory of Everything if we don’t calculate into the equation whatever…
